It seems that these sneaky little bastards are helping hard working CSU students fulfill their academic dreams. Upon reading you will find their research enthralling. Although I can’t get over this incredible quote:

“We have some funny squirrels. Some of them like to hang out at the student center and get fed donuts by the people there,”

In fact, I can often be found near the student center doing the same thing. Enjoy!

This past weeked Kelley and I and another couple went to the Great Sand Dune National Park for playing, camping and picture taking. Our friend Nathan is a professional photographer and needed subjects. This also gave Kelley and I the chance to learn and play with our new SLR camera (Canon Rebel XSI). We were able to try out some of his crazy lenses (he brought like 10 of them). We were expecting 8 degree temperatures at night, and was pleasantly surprised when it was probably around 20. The days were gorgeous and we had the park pretty much to ourselves. It was like being a kid again – running through the sand and snow, skiing down, and sledding. Click on the photo below to see the album!

We set up some lights which gave this awesome effect!

Well, after having to frantically move my sites to a new host (Go Daddy) and transfer all domains, I am not in a fairly good spot to start using this again. Go Daddy is a great deal – with their deluxe plan at ~$6.50 a month, I am getting a ridiculous amount of space and bandwidth, as well as all of the databases I could have a chimp throw it’s feces at. Also, I took the opportunity to update WordPress and Gallery to their current stables, so everything on my admin end looks pretty. Stay tuned as I finish up this new(ish) design. I also have a sh*t ton of photos to post in the Gallery, and I will alert you when they are available.

Thanks all and Go Bills!

Well, if you haven’t heard you either don’t answer your phone, don’t read your e-mail or live under a rock! Kelley and I are engaged!

Click on image to see a few more pictures from the day!

On Sunday, November 18th, Kelley and I got into our new Suburu Outback, loaded Boo! in the back, and headed out for a hike up Crosier Mountain (near Estes Park). Coincidentally (or not) this was the first hike that Kelley and I did when we started dating. Anyhow, we decided to try a different trailhead this time and approach the summit from a different direction. This turned out to be a bad idea since we got lost somehow. At around 5 miles in (when we should have been on the summit according to our guidebook) we found ourselves looking at the trail descend some 500 feet into a ravine – clearly we had taken a wrong turn. I took the opportunity to scout ahead with Boo! along while Kelley remained behind perched atop a boulder. Earlier that week I had attached the ring box to a brand new, bright yellow collar for Boo!. I stopped just out of sight and slipped the ring I had been carrying onto Boo! and started my trek back up. Upon reaching Kelley, I announced that I think we took a wrong turn and we decided to head back. before we could begin though, Boo! jumped up onto the boulder and kelley noticed the strange object attached to him. “I don’t know, what is it?” I said in response to her nervous inquiry. She suddenly realized what was going on, jumped off of the boulder, and accepted my proposal. It was perfect and she was totally surprised. So, now we are engaged, and have begun planning the wedding. It will most likely be in Colorado, sometime in August or September. I’ll be sure to post more information as it becomes available.
